Across North Yorkshire volunteers are transforming village halls, community centres - even stately homes - into temporary cinemas. Kaptur is documenting the rural groups who’ve rejected the multiplexes for something cosier and set up film theatres in their own communities. Comfy cushions in hand, they’re showing Hollywood blockbusters, home grown films and arthouse gems. Featured film: ‘Tis Pity She’s a Whore. This short doc is a snapshot of the recording of incidental music for the recent West Yorkshire Playhouse production.


Filmed at Leeds Parish Church, it show’s the massed voices of the St Peter’s Singers creating beautiful sounds in Latin.
